All rims in this group are drilled in reversed order (also called as Vice-Versa drilled)

Reversed drilled rims are not drilled the same way as "normal" rims and will not fit on most motorcycles. It's mainly European brands like Husqvarna, GasGas, KTM and BMW that have wheels that is vice-versa laced. There are also wheels and hubs from various Italian aftermarket manufacturers that are drilled the same vice-versa.

About 97 % of all motorcycles have standard drilled rims and there is nothing wrong about vice-versa drilled except that it's a less good idea! Vice-versa drilled rims are just as strong as a normally drilled rim and works as well BUT it causes problems everywhere from manufacturers, importers, distributors, dealers and of course for the consumer that in many cases just go out and buy a rim just to see that it will not fit.

On older motorcycles with that have spokes with a 90 degree bend it does not matter what way the rim is drilled because you can always turn the spoke the other way but it does not hurt to take a look on the old rim before you buy a new one.

As you can see below so are all spokes in a wheel in groups of 4 and if you look at the wheel with a silver rim and start to count the spokes from the closest one you can see that the right sid, spoke 1 and 3, are before the left side, spoke 2 and 4. This wheel are laced as a vice-versa wheel.

On a standard laced wheel (with the blue rim) so are the right side, spoke 2 and 4, after the left side, spoke 1 and 3.

BMW, the rear wheel on some GS-models with rubber adapter sprocket.
